Supporting Tourism in Pierce County Wisconsin
Western Wisconsin

Ellsworth, Wisconsin 54011

Ellsworth is the county seat for Pierce County (the county itself named after U.S. President Franklin Pierce) and has been the county seat since 1851. There's quite a lot of year-round recreation the town offers to visitors. There is  a local apple orchard where visitors can pick their own apples in the Fall.  Two outdoor skating rinks, over 200 miles of groomed snowmobile trails and plenty of acreage for cross-country-skiing.

In addition, Ellsworth is also the home of the ever-popular Ellsworth Polka Fest, the Beldenville Old Car Show and the Pierce Country Fair. Pierce County's shaded Fairgrounds is a favorite spot for walks and picnics. Two other parks, Summit Hill (home of the Ellsworth Hubbers Baseball Team) and East End, as well as the Cairns Woods Walking Trail, provide a place for both leisurely strolls and high-energy workouts. Be it the Pierce County Fair, the Ellsworth Cheese Curd Festival or any of the other many attraction, Ellsworth is a great destination,

There are six tennis courts, a 9-hole golf course, a shooting range and archery range, along with a bevy of ball diamonds and courts for the competitively inclined. But there are also trout streams and wooded lands that lure the anglers and hunters alike.

Ellsworth is known as the Cheese Curd Capital of the World and a short drive east of town, visitors can sample  100's of different cheeses at Cady Cheese the largest Longhorn cheese producer in North America.  Each Week Cady Cheese produces over 25 tons of cheese and visitors are encouraged to watch the process though specially placed observation windows.
